Philosophy

PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY is my passion. When people ask me what I like most about my profession my answer is always the same: CHANGING PEOPLE’S LIVES THROUGH ARTISTRY.

I’ve always been creative and artistic. I am very good at creating things with my hands. It started with complicated lego builds during my childhood and continued with drawings, paintings, and interior design. I can see shapes in front of me and create a tridimensional image in my mind of a “now” but also of a “future”. Then, I transpose that image of a “future” into reality using the tool at hand. Plastic Surgery has allowed me to add the scalpel to my armament; giving me a new meaning to the word “art”.

I feel blessed and honored to be able to do what I do. Every day I strive to be a dedicated, honest, safe, and skillful plastic surgeon. Each patient represents a big responsibility to me; one that I take very seriously. I like to listen to my patients carefully, address all their concerns responsibly, and together become the best possible TEAM with one common goal: AMAZING-NESS!

I believe the limit in Plastic Surgery is our IMAGINATION. CREATIVITY is the fuel that drives me. Every day, I allow my imagination and creativity to go hand in hand, using my imagination to let my creativity thrive.

Liposuction

It is common to have stubborn pockets of fat that refuse to go away even with a proper diet and regular exercise. Liposuction is an amazing treatment to remove these unwanted and stubborn fat deposits / pockets. It can remove fat on almost any area of the body such as the abdomen, flanks, and back (often referred to as 360-liposuction), but also other areas like the thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, chin, and more. Individuals who are close to their ideal body weight who have stubborn areas of fat on their torsos (abdomen, flanks, and back) can often benefit from 360-liposuction. Candidates for liposuction should have good skin elasticity as well as be healthy individuals who are nonsmokers. It is important to understand that liposuction is not a weight loss solution but helps to contour the body once you are at a stable, healthy weight. For the liposuction procedure, small incisions will be made where a hollow tube, called a cannula, will be inserted. These incisions are strategically placed on areas easy to hide with clothing or at areas naturally hidden by the body itself. Using a back and forth motion, the cannula will break up excess fat. Once the excess fat is broken up and loose, it is suctioned out of the body. This procedure can be used to target pockets of fat in many parts of the body.

Liposuction + Fat Transfer

In recent years fuller and rounder buttock profiles have become desirable, prompting women to seek out surgical options to achieve their dreamed buttocks through surgery. Some women were born with a flat or too small derrière giving an unbalanced, less attractive body contour. For others, pregnancy, weight loss, or aging can leave the buttocks area looking small, flat or saggy.

The goal of the procedure is to add size and shape to your buttocks by extracting fat from another area of the body to enhance the buttocks. Liposuction is used to remove fat from other areas, such as the stomach, thighs, flanks, or back. The fat is then purified and prepared for transfer. This procedure has the added benefit of trimming unwanted fat from your body, for a more sculpted look. The purified fat is then carefully injected into the buttocks area to add lift, roundness, and volume.

To ensure the highest possible rate of fat survival, 10 to 15 sessions of hyperbaric oxygen treatments are highly recommended during recovery from an autologous fat transfer procedure.
