How Is a Lip Lift Procedure Performed?
First, anesthesia will be administered. Next, an incision will be madeunder the base of the nose. A small amount of skin will be removed to shorten the distance between the nose and upper lip. The incision will then be closed with tiny sutures.
It is essential that patients adhere to all aftercare instructions provided. We will explain how to properly moisturize the lips, clean the incision, and protect the treatment area from force and/or abrasion in order to support an optimal outcome.

How Long Does it Take to Recover from a Lip Lift?
Tenderness and swelling can be expected in the first week or so of your recovery. These symptoms will subside as the area heals. Within two to three weeks, most of the swelling will have dissipated, though it can take up to three months to see your final results.
Most patients can return to sedentary work within a week or two. However, you will need to restrict your activities for several weeks and should not resume heavy lifting, intense exercise, or other strenuous activities until approved.
